Lendly Moyo obtained her BSc Honours Degree in Chemistry from Midlands State University, Zimbabwe, in 2021 and subsequently completed her MPhil in Chemistry in 2025. Her master’s research, titled Synthesis and Characterisation of Novel Ca-MOFs and Zr-MOFs for Enzyme Immobilization, focused on the development of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for enzyme encapsulation and their application in carbon dioxide capture and conversion.
During her MPhil studies, she was a guest researcher at Chalmers University of Technology and Uppsala University, Sweden, where she worked on the synthesis and characterization of advanced MOF materials. She is also passionate about crystallography and has undertaken advanced crystallography training through courses offered by Stellenbosch University and the University of Zurich. Lendly has actively participated in international scientific meetings, including the 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in 2024, where she was among the first two Zimbabweans to attend since the meeting’s establishment. She is a co-author of two peer-reviewed scientific publications.
She is currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. Her research focuses on the design and synthesis of self-assembled metal-organic cages that function as nanoreactors for organic transformations. Her work aims to develop new synthetic routes to pharmaceutically relevant molecular scaffolds and advance the understanding of supramolecular catalysis and reaction control in confined spaces.
