Thesis Title: Functionalized UiO-66 monoliths for enhanced carbon dioxide capture, with an emphasis on material design and adsorption performance optimization.
Hazel is an MPhil Chemistry candidate specializing in advanced materials for environmental applications. She graduated with a First Class BSc Honours degree in Chemical Technology from the Midlands State University. During her undergraduate studies her research focused on the adsorption of methylene blue dye using superparamagnetic CoFe₂O₄ nanoparticles. Her research interests lie in MOFs, adsorption processes, and sustainable solutions for environmental challenges. Hazel’s current supervisors are Prof G. Mehlana and Dr P. Tshuma.
