(a) Teaching – the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.

Department of Politics and Public Management- Harare Campus 

Full Time Posts: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (2 Posts)

Qualifications

    • A relevant first degree with a background in Political Science, International Relations, International Studies and Political Administration with an Upper Second (2.1) class or better. 
    • A relevant Masters Degree in the above mentioned fields.
    • A relevant PhD.

Duties & Responsibilities 

The candidate must be capable of supervising Masters and Doctoral research and teach the following modules:

  • Theories of International Relations
  • International Justice Systems
  • Global, Peace and Security Studies
  • Advanced Research Methodology
  • Foreign Policy
  • International Institutions
  • International Political Economy. 

Department of Politics and Public Management- Zvishavane Campus 

Full Time Posts: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (2 Posts)

Qualifications

    • A relevant first degree with a background in Political Science, International Relations, Politics and Public Management with an Upper Second (2.1) or better.
    • A relevant Masters Degree in the above mentioned fields.
    • A relevant PhD is an added advantage.
    • Relevant teaching and research experience at University level is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities 

The candidate must be capable of supervising Masters and undergraduate research and teach the following modules:

  • Introduction to Political Theory
  • Constitutional Law
  • International Politics
  • International Organisations
  • Modern Political Theory
  • Africa’s Political Economy
  • Gender Studies for Social Sciences
