Research Topic: Catalytic transformation of carbon dioxide to methanol and formic acid using Lanthanum based Metal-Organic Frameworks

 

Johannes was born in Zimbabwe, where he also grew up. He completed his high school education at ST Patrick’s High School in 2007. Chemistry was his favourite subject at school so he went on to study BSc Hons Chemical Technology at Midlands State University. He completed his BSc Chemical Technology Honours (2016).Currently, his research involves synthesis of new Metal Organic Frameworks(MOFs) for the hydrogenation of carbon dioxide to methanol and formic acid. Johannes enjoys travelling around the world, watching movies, snooker, basketball and listening to music.
