The research group has achieved notable awards that recognize our outstanding contributions and innovative work. Here are the awards we have received:
- Tsungai Faith Manyadza Presented her innovation idea in Berlin, Germany in November 2024.
- Sithulisiwe Ngwenya attended a workshop on Bridging the Digital Divide Gap in Berlin and Hamburg, Berlin in October 2024.
- Prof Grace Mugumbate was awarded a 3rd place for “Health Research’’ in Zimbabwe for the Best Woman Innovator at the Presidential Innovation Fair 2024.
- Tsungai Faith Manyadza presented at the Falling Walls Lab Zimbabwe 2024 won the second position for Innovation pitch competitions.
- The research group attended a Comprehensive Workshop on Preclinical Drug Discovery in Capetown, South Africa in April 2024 and Prog Grace Mugumbate had a presentation on Insilico Methods in Drug Discovery.
- Sithulisiwe Ngwenya was awarded “His Excellency and Chancellor’s Award for the Overall Best Innovation from a Female Student at Postgraduate Level” in November 2023.
- Albert Zindoga was awarded “Best Innovation MPhil” at Chinhoyi University: in October 2023.
- Sithulisiwe Ngwenya at the Falling Walls Lab Zimbabwe 2023 won the second position for Innovation pitch competitions.
- The research group attended a Drug Discovery Africa conference hosted by H3D in Stellenbosch, South Africa in October 2022 and Prof Grace Mugumbate presented in Computer Aided Drug Discovery.
- Jonathan Bvunzawabaya won best poster during the poster presentation session at the Drug Discovery Africa conference in Stellenbosch, South Africa in October 2022
