Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following posts:

FACULTY OF ARTS AND HUMANITIES

Radio Station 

Post A: Executive Producer (Programming and Marketing) 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • An Honors Communication/Journalism/Media Studies degree with at least a 2:1 class.
  • At least three (3) years experience in a broadcasting environment.
  •  At least 1-year experience at a tertiary education institution will be an added advantage.
  • A master’s degree in communication/journalism/media studies/will be an added advantage. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The candidate is expected to assist the Station Manager with the Campus Radio Station’s day-to-day administration, production of content, and marketing of radio broadcasting services and products. Duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Development of events calendar.
  • Development of marketing strategy for the station.
  • Planning for the events calendar and events for revenue generation.
  • Generating income for the station.
  • Guiding content development from Producers and Presenters.
  • Supervising Producers/Presenters to meet content requirements.
  • Marketing the station and its productions to prospective partners, grant providers, and sponsors.
  • Any other relevant duties as may be assigned.

Post B: Executive Producer (Programming and Continuity) 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • An Honors Communication/Journalism/Media Studies degree with at least a 2:1 class.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a broadcasting environment is a requirement.
  • At least 1-year experience at a tertiary education institution will be an added advantage.
  • A master’s degree in communication/journalism/media studies will be an added advantage.
