The Midlands State University, has added two new buses to its existing fleet. The 67-seater Asiastar buses, which were purchased well before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, are expected to enhance shuttle services for members of the University community across the various campuses.
Speaking, while commissioning the buses at the University’s Gweru Main Campus on Monday 15 Febraury 2021, Midlands State University Vice-chancellor, Professor Victor N Muzvidziwa said the buses will not only improve efficiency but also help to further enhance the welfare of students, by providing a safe, convenient and reliable way to get around.
Among those who attended the commissioning were the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Research and Academic Affairs, Professor D Z Moyo, the Registrar, Mr T Zishiri, the Librarian, Ms N P Chibanda, the Acting Bursar, Mr D Zvidzayi as well as members from both the University’s Procurement Office and Transport Office.
