Post L: Assistant Carpenter (1 Post: Kwekwe Campus)
Qualifications and Experience
- Class 2 or 3 Journeyman Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery
- A minimum of 2 years’ professional work experience as a carpenter
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out durable, functional, and quality carpentry work across all facilities.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints with precision
- Repairing and maintaining buildings, furniture, and fixtures
- Executing new carpentry works when not outsourced
- Installing and repairing doors, windows, cabinets, and balustrades
- Assessing carpentry needs and producing maintenance requirements
- Operating tools, machines, and equipment safely
- Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Evaluating quality of woodwork and materials
- Contributes to departmental success by performing all essential duties as assigned.
