Midlands State University Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor V. N. Muzvidziwa has commended the University’s Enactus Team after they were crowned as the 2017 Boost-Enactus National Champions a fortnight ago.

In a brief address to the winning team after it officially presented its winner’s trophy to the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muzvidziwa said, the team’s performance at the national championships was truly above and beyond, as they demonstrated to the University and the nation at large that they have the wherewithal to compete with the best and emerge as the best.

Professor Muzvidziwa also took the opportunity to wish the team well as it prepares to take on the rest of the world at the Enactus World Cup to be held in London, from 26-28 September 2017. He urged the team to perfect its presentation by taking on board comments and criticisms that they have received both at institutional and national level.

‘Your next task is to listen and take on board comments and criticisms that have been made and do what you know best, which is to incorporate, improve and perfect your act’, said the Acting Vice-Chancellor.

Professor Muzvidziwa also reassured the Enactus team that the entire University community would be rooting for them and, was quite confident that they would make the University and the nation proud.

‘As you go to London…we all believe you can make it …and I do believe you will come back as the world champions,’ he said.

The presentation ceremony, which was held in the University’s Seminar Room 1 was attended by various members of the University Community among them, the Pro Vice-Chancellor Business Development and Administration, Professor K. H. Wekwete, Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor Research and Academic Affairs, Professor D. Z. Moyo, the Registrar, Mr E. Mupfiga, the Bursar, Mr A. Zvandasara, Zvishavane Campus Director, Professor A.
