Midlands State University Football Club (MSU FC) enjoyed an unquestionable win against the Gweru based Zimbabwe Republic Police FC in a tantalizing match that ended in a score line of 9 goals to nil in favour of the Sharks.

Striker Christian “Chrisma” Chikuni became the top goal scorer and man of the match having thrashed the opponents with two goals within the first ten minutes of the division one game. He delivered the third goal in the second half of the match thus widening the margin between the Sharks and their opponents from the uniformed forces.

From the onset of the match, it appeared the Sharks had no option but to win as they enjoyed a massive support at their home ground, the Gweru Main campus. Team coach Joseph Michael was ecstatic and commended them for a well-played match.

“The performance was a good one, especially from Chrisma and we really hope that as we go forward, we will keep the momentum and make it to the Premier Soccer League,” he said.

Amongst those who scored were Nyasha ‘Messi’ Siment who scored two goals, Talbolt ‘Abtrika’ Mutombeni, Gift Mandaza, Lovemore ‘lovers’ Gwapedza, Lennon Mankankula. The match placed MSU FC at position 4 in the log standing as Sheasham FC, ZPC Munyati FC and Whawha FC occupy the top three positions respectively.
