True to its pacesetting nature, the Midlands State University has once again emerged as a debate powerhouse among national universities after lifting the 2020 Speak and Solve Initiative (SASI) Debate trophy.

On the way to victory, MSU squared off with the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) in the finals and came out tops. The University of Zimbabwe and Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences finished as first and second runners-up respectively.
The SASI National Universities Debate Competition is an annual event organised by SAYWHAT to create awareness and promote sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) among young people.

A total of ten (10) universities took part in this year’s edition of the challenge, held on the 23rd of November 2020 in Harare.
To the winning team, we say Congratulations! Makorokoto! Amhlope!
