SAYWHAT, an organization that envisions ‘a Southern Africa where students and young people enjoy their Sexual and Reproductive health rights’ donated a COVID-19 relief package to the Midlands State University (MSU)’s Zvishavane campus on Thursday 1 July 2021.

SAYWHAT Executive Director Jimmy Wilford handed over the donation which included face masks, sanitisers, and other medicines which help in the management of COVID-19 symptoms.

MSU Zvishavane Campus Deputy Registrar – Academic Affairs, Mr Normal Shava, the Deputy Director Health Services, Dr Wilson Mupariwa, and the Executive Dean in the Faculty of Engineering and Geosciences, Dr Antony Mamuse were part of the University team that received the donation.

As of 1 July 2021, Zimbabwe recorded a total of 1 357 new COVID-19 cases, 290 recoveries, and 19 deaths. This puts the total at 52 578 confirmed cases, 42,341 recoveries, and 1 827 deaths.
