Please be advised that the Midlands State University 2023 graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, the 24th of November 2023 at the Main Campus, Multi-Purpose Hall, in Gweru.
- SEATING TIME
Graduands and Guests are required to be seated by 0800 hours.
- OUTSTANDING FEES
Please note that only graduands whose fees are paid in full will be allowed to attend the ceremony. The deadline for payment is the 17th of November 2023.
- PURCHASE OF ACADEMIC DRESS
For quality assurance purposes, academic regalia is exclusively supplied and distributed by the MSU Enterprises at the following locations:

MSU Bulawayo Learning Centre – Fidelity House, Fife Street and 11th Avenue

- GRADUATION FEE
The graduation fee (Exclusive of academic regalia) is USD70.00 for all academic programmes.

NB: Please note that there are separate accounts for graduation fees (see section 5) and academic regalia (see section 4).
- DRESS
Graduands are advised to wear dark colours.
- INVITATIONS
Invitation cards will be available for collection at Faculty offices across all campuses from the 15th of November 2023.
Please note, that graduands are required to produce their MSU student IDs and their National IDs on collection of invitation cards. No invitation cards will be issued on graduation day.
- GUESTS
Only two guests per graduand with valid invitation cards will be allowed into the Graduation Arena and ONLY these TWO will be entitled to seats.
- REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will be held on Thursday, the 23rd of November 2023 at 1400 hours at the Gweru Main Campus. It is mandatory for all graduands to attend the rehearsals to participate in the ceremony.
- PHOTOGRAPHERS
No other photographers will be allowed to take photographs when graduands are being capped or within the University premises except the Midlands State University photographers and those accredited by the University.
A video livestream for the graduation proceedings will be available on the University’s social media platforms.
- FOOD
Please note that lunch will be served to graduands and their guests.
- MSU SECURITY CHECKPOINTS
All graduands and their guests will pass through an MSU Security checkpoint where their invitation cards will be verified.
- TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
Please be advised that the Town–Senga/MSU route will be closed at the Senga turn-off traffic circle after 0900 hours and thereafter all guests and graduands will have to use the Fletcher – MSU route.
