GWERU, Zimbabwe- In a pivotal moment for international academic collaboration, Midlands State University (MSU) and Northeastern University of China signed a groundbreaking Framework of Cooperation on October 9th, 2024, marking a significant stride in the University’s internationalisation strategy.
The historic signing ceremony, held at MSU’s Main Campus in Gweru, symbolises a transformative partnership that promises to revolutionise educational exchange, research, and innovation between the two institutions.
Professor Grace Mugumbate, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Industrialisation, eloquently captured the momentous occasion’s essence.
“This is more than an agreement,” she emphasised.
“It’s a gateway to unprecedented academic and research opportunities that will propel our university onto the global stage,” Professor Mugumbate iterated.

Professor Laurine Chikoko, Executive Director of International and Alumni Relations, highlighted the partnership’s transformative potential.
