AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION PROGRAMME (ASFP) FOR THE SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2015 INTAKE

Applications are invited for admission to AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION PROGRAMME   at the Midlands State University for the September/October 2015 Intake. Applicants may visit our website, www.msu.ac.zw or contact the Admissions Office for entry requirements to the programme.

AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION PROGRAMME (ASFP)

The foundation programme targets and benefits candidates who may not meet required entry qualifications for undergraduate degree programmes. This programme employs highly qualified and experienced teaching staff and gives sufficient access of educational materials and other essential resources to students for improved assimilation of “A’’ level content that may not be available in other circumstances.

DURATION OF THE ASFP -TWO SEMESTERS.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for entry into the ASFP, a candidate must have attempted “A” Level
OR

Have passed at least five “O” Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics and one of the following Science subjects: Biology, Agriculture, Food             and Nutrition, Physics, Chemistry, Physical Science or Integrated Science or their equivalents.
OR
Be a holder of a National Certificate in Agriculture, Biotechnology, Forestry, Horticulture, Wild Life Management, Home Economics or any other relevant programme and five “O” Levels including Mathematics and English Language.

APPLYING FOR THE AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

Complete an official application form provided at the Admissions office at Midlands State University for a non-refundable application fee (US$20 for local students and US$50 for international students). Along with the completed application form, submit certified copies of Birth Certificate, National Identity Document and academic certificates at the Admissions Office
