About Us 

The Department of Architecture falls under the Faculty of Built Environment, Art, and Design. The department’s focus is providing a high level of education in the field of design and construction. We promote the creation of competent architectural professionals in the areas related to residential, commercial, and recreational construction, as well as interior design. Expertise in Building Information Modelling (BIM), construction technology, and contract administration are integrated with the departmental strategically approaches to delivering lectures and intriguing the undergraduates’ abilities to formulate pragmatic solutions to contemporary issues.

  • Bachelor of Architectural Studies Honors Degree

Admission requirements

Normal Entry: A minimum of 5 ‘O’ levels including Mathematics and English and a minimum of 3 passes in ‘A’ Level Mathematics or Physics, and any two subjects which should be in the following list of subjects, or their recognized equivalents: 

Art or Craft & Design, Building Technology and Design, Design Technology, Environmental Studies, Geography, Technical Graphics, Physical Science.

*A portfolio of works of Art can be an added advantage to applicants.

Special Entry: Applicants with National Diplomas in Architecture, Architectural Technology and Architectural Graphics and relevant experience shall be considered on a Special Entry basis. 

*A portfolio of works is a prerequisite for applicants.

Registered Architect, Architectural Visualiser, Architectural Technologist, Architectural draughtsperson, Interior designer, Furniture designer/fabricator, Urban designer, Landscape designer/landscape architect, Urban planner, Property and Real Estate Developer, Architectural historian or researcher, Lecturer or Professor in architecture.
