About Us
The Department of Quantity Surveying falls under the Faculty of Built Environment, Art and Design. The Department of Quantity Surveying is dedicated to providing a high level of education in the field of Quantity Surveying. The creation of competent Quantity Surveying professionals in the areas of cost estimation, measurement, project management, Building Information Modelling (BIM), building economics, procurement, construction technology and contract administration are amalgamated with the departmental strategical approaches to delivering lectures and intriguing the undergraduates’ abilities to formulate pragmatic solutions to the contemporary issues.

To produce quality, competent and versatile graduates who are equipped with the necessary technical knowledge, practical and generic skills to compete in the international market.

- Bachelor of Quantity Surveying Honours Degree
Admission requirements
Normal Entry: At least 5 ‘O’ Level passes including Mathematics, English and Combined Science or equivalent and at least 2 ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or Accounting and any other Sciences or Commercial subjects approved by the university.
Special entry:
- A National Diploma in Quantity Surveying Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Building Technology or any equivalent plus one year post working experience and at least 5 Ordinary level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Science. In certain cases, interviews may be conducted by the department for the selection process. The decision to do so will be at the Department’s discretion
- Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Building Technology or any equivalent and at least 5 Ordinary level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Science.
