Programmes offered within the department

Bachelor of Educational Technology

The department of Educational Technology is a service department serving the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), the Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and Undergraduate Degree with Education (UGDE) programs in the faculty of Education. It offers the following modules:

AE 320 Education Media and Technology for the UGDE program.

AE 520 Educational Media Technology for the PGDE program.

AE 208 Information Communication Technologies in Education for the B.Ed program.

The department will extend its services to the envisaged Bachelor of Education block release program, the Bachelor of Education Post A Level program and the Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood Education (ECE) and the M.Ed programmes.

Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission, applicants must:

Possess a teaching qualification approved by the University.

Have a minimum of two years post qualification experience.

Normally have “A” level passes in the proposed teaching subject.

Career Prospects

Graduates from the Faculty of Education can be employed in private or public institutions as teachers or trainers, Curriculum Development Units, Examination Councils, Publishing Houses or any education – related field.
