POST: Production Manager – Food and Beverage Processing Unit (X1)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master’s or higher degree in Food Science, Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience (research or production) within the Food and Beverage sector.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements, including HACCP and GMP.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing and coordinating all production processes to ensure efficient operations and adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Managing production schedules, inventory levels, and raw material sourcing to align with demand forecasts.
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as HACCP and GMP.
  • Collaborating with R&D and quality assurance teams on product development, testing, and process improvements.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing production team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring production costs and optimizing resource allocation to drive cost efficiencies.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations and maintaining compliance with standard operating procedures and GMP principles.
  • Conducting regular assessments of production procedures, process flows, and equipment functionality, in collaboration with technicians and the Quality department.
  • Providing comprehensive leadership in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the production function to meet operational goals.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
