Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following posts:

LIBRARY DEPARTMENT

SUB-LIBRARIAN – (1 POST) MAIN LIBRARY CLIENT SERVICES  

SENIOR LIBRARY ASSISTANT 1 – ZVISHAVANE CAMPUS 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• National Diploma in Library & Information Science.
• 5 Ordinary Level subjects including English Language.
• The candidate must have at least two (2) years of working experience in a University Library as a Senior Library Assistant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Overseeing all the Library transactions and operations at the circulation desk.
• Charging and discharging books using the Library Management System.
• Assisting users in using the Online Public Access Catalogue.
• Assisting patrons in accessing books from the Open Shelf and Core Collections
• Participating in stock-taking exercises.
• Participating in collection development support.
• Supporting student orientation and community engagement activities.
• Performing day, weekend, and night circulation duties.

NB: The successful candidates may be deployed to any of the University Campuses.
