Midlands State University’s Faculty of Social Sciences has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Marondera based Kushinga Phikelela Polytechnic College, in a development which will see the Polytechnic offering a diploma in Community Development, accredited with the country’s premier institution of higher learning.
The signing ceremony took place at Midlands State University on Monday, 26 October, 2015 and was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Mhlahlo and representatives from the University’s other faculties. Kushinga Phikelela was represented by the institution’s principal and some lecturers.
Midlands State University Pro Vice Chancellor, Research and Academic Affairs, Professor Muzvidziwa chaired the session, noting that the MOU is a part of the University’s efforts aimed enhancing human capital development in the country and applauded Kushinga Phikelela for initiating the partnership.
