Team MSU put up a vintage show in the Zimbabwe Universities Sports Association (ZUSA) Cluster 3 games that  were held at Great Zimbabwe University in Masvingo from the 6th to the 9th of April, 2017.

Competing in disciplines that included karate, chess, darts, billiards (snooker) and tennis, the University’s athletes delivered a performance laced with gold and silver to ensure that Team MSU ruled the roost in the final round of the ZUSA games for 2017.

The chess and karate teams put up classy performances with both chess teams (men and women) striking gold. Not to be outdone was the karate team that weighed in with six gold medals while the men’s snooker and table tennis teams also won gold, proving that Midlands State University remains a sports powerhouse.

In the women’s snooker Team MSU won silver after being edged by perennial arch rivals Great Zimbabwe University for the second consecutive year. The women’s table tennis team also won silver as Team MSU rounded off a medal laden performance at the games.

We congratulate Team MSU for yet another outstanding performance.
