Midlands State University (MSU) showcased its commitment to inclusive development at the 2025 Zimbabwe National Disability Expo, held from 25–27 June at Victoria Falls’ Chinotimba Stadium.
Officially opened by Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Cde Kembo Mohadi under the theme “Accelerating Disability Inclusion Now: A Collective Responsibility”, the expo highlighted government efforts to advance rights for persons with disabilities.
MSU leveraged the platform to spotlight its Disability Resource Centre and the National Language Institute’s Special Needs Section, emphasising tailored support services.
Attendees from industry, academia, and civil society explored inclusive innovations, with MSU students earning acclaim for demonstrations of creativity and skill.
The event aligns with Zimbabwe’s National Disability Policy, addressing marginalisation while promoting full societal participation.
At MSU, the Disability Resource Centre actively enables engagement in campus life through targeted initiatives, fostering an empowering environment for students and staff.
